Poem- NEED FEEDBACK
At The Carnival
The horses gallop
Up and down they go
Around and around
The bright lights,
The glimpse of smiles,
catch the eyes of spectators.
The ride fills the atmosphere
with sparkling faces and dazzle,
like the jewels on a crown
Effervescent,
Only a memory of a child
Can you tell what I am trying to depict?

Who
Who really reads my tumblr? I know I haven’t updated for a long time, but what I recently put up, did people read it?
I want to know if it is worth having a tumblr.
Lyrics from the song, I'll Make a Man out of You
Let’s get down to business To defeat the Huns Did they send me daughters When I asked for sons? You’re the saddest bunch I ever met But you can bet Before we’re through Mister, I’ll make a man out of you Tranquil as a forest But on fire within Once you find your center you are sure to win You’re a spineless, pale pathetic lot And you haven’t got...
Decisions
I am going to make an important decision soon. It’s going to affect everything about my future.
I will have to wait 68 days to know what are my options. How do you mentally prepare for that? I keep distracting myself and tell myself that wherever I go, I will be fine. It’s hard to remind yourself that you are going to be fine.
I hear a lot of things from people who had to make the...

Exercise
People should exercise. They should exercise their body and their brain.
Most importantly, they should do style exercises. Why? It’s good for their body and brain.
No, I feel that style exercises are important because they test the writer’s capabilities. A true writer should be able to write like other writers while also coming up with a beautiful arrangement of words. Also by...
How did an Italian Plumber Become a Superstar?
This is a special blog about video games. People who have read “How did an Italian Plumber Become a Superstar?” can find more information about the games discussed in the paper and additional facts about the rise of video games.
While things were bad in the video game console market, Atari, a video game company introduced another game that became a popular, Pac-Man! When asked what...

So what do I want to study in college or major in? … To be frank, I don’t know. I know I am going to college in about a year and two months, but honestly I don’t know. The problem is that I like a lot of things. I could probably find something I like in any major, except English. So hopefully in college, I will narrow down my interests. Thought I would...
Teachers if you are reading our blogs
I have a question for you guys. Not important enough to e-mail, but worthy enough to be asked on a blog. What is hard about grading? What is your grading process? Is it something that you procrastinate Is it easier than actually writing the assignment? Faster?
Description of my watcher
My watcher has a watermelon head and an orange body. It moves with quickly, trying to get my attention, by floating in the air on a comfortable pillow. It is sweating and dripping watermelon juice. It has a love-hate relationship with the sun. On its orange body, it wears bumper stickers.
Watcher
Dear Watcher,
You don’t deserve to have a name because the name you have fits you. Take a break! Your tired, so take a nap! Actually, take a long nap. You know you need to rest. Go dream and escape reality. Day dreaming is a perfect way to perfect your imagination. How about getting a snack or finding out what to eat for lunch? Satisfy your cravings with chocolate.
You don’t have to...

From the Alchemist
“A certain shopkeeper sent his son to learn about the secret of happiness from the wisest man in the world. The lad wandered through the desert for forty days, and finally came upon a beautiful castle, high atop a mountain. It was there that the wise man lived. Rather than finding a saintly man, though, our hero, on entering the main room of the castle, saw a hive of activity: tradesmen came and...

Fourth of July
Cool fact I learned today: the Declaration of Independence was signed on July 2. It was only until July 4th when people knew about.
Is it just me, or is that common knowledge?
Anyways, this fourth of July weekend, I am going to Monterey (just for the day). I already seen the aquarium there last spring… I heard from my parents that I am visiting an old sardine factory. I guess I am going...
Regroup Thinking
Scrap all that stuff that I just said last entry, well not all the stuff. We just had a group disccusion about the Group Think, the article. I realize that after our discussion, my conclusions about the article were not relevant. We came up with “Does the group ultimately bring more success than one of its unit?” Success, in this article, is defined as innovation. Gladwell uses the...
Blah
I don’t mean to do my homework so late. I really don’t. Just so much stuff going on. Now that I have a blog other than facebook, I guess I’ll write more.
Summer is moving by so quickly. It’s July already… in 40 minutes…sigh~
The Serious Question
After reading Group Think, I could not delineate the main ideas that Malcom Gladwell addressed in his article that well. It seems that the question, “What does “Saturday Night Live” have in common with German philosophy?” was something he was alluding to, but not the main point of his article. Perhaps the question he was trying to answer was “To what extent has group...

George Orwell's style
In Shooting an Elephant, George Orwell uses informal language and vivid descriptions in describing his experience shooting an elephant. Writing in first person, Orwell includes the reader in his thought process and the emotions he feels. After shooting the elephant, he shares his uneasiness with the reader when he writes, “the thick blood welled out of him like red velvet, but still he did...
Reading Habits
Reading is unfortunately, not a habit for me. I don’t read at a specific time or place. I usually read when I feel like it, which happens at random times of the day and quite strangely, everyday. I read all kinds of books, but mostly books that have been recommended to me. To be honest, I am a bit picky of what books I read. I do not particular like non-fictional books or books that you...
